RV trip 2006 - day 47

Day 47 (October 6, 2006) - Arcata, CA

Petr: I simply drove through the northern part of the park without stopping. It would have been nice to have a 4WD in order to enter the woods, RVs are not allowed. The southern part is more interesting anyways. The forest is deep and dark, it's hard to even take pictures and even harder to give an idea on how huge these trees are, without a reference point. They are humongous! In Arcata, I hopped on the Vespa to tour the town, back to the campground, I will continue south tomorrow.

Laura: In the morning I went to pick up Francesca at school, took her to the dentist and then out for lunch since the fridge is still pretty empty. She later went out with her friends, I tried to cut the grass but the lawnmower died on me so I have a nice strip of mowed lawn in the middle of a forest. I will need to have it cut since I don't have time to fix the bloody machine. I got a spare road bike ready for a trip over the weekend.
